Senior Executive – University Counselling Centre

About the role

The Senior Executive supports the University Counselling Centre (UCC) within the University Wellbeing Office, ensuring smooth daily operations and high‑quality service for students. This position acts as the first point of contact for students seeking counselling or psychological support and coordinates the centre’s administrative and logistical functions.

Key responsibilities

• Respond promptly to student and stakeholder enquiries via phone, email, or in‑person and provide accurate information about services and appointments.
• Assign client cases to mental‑health practitioners based on availability and need.
• Manage front‑desk reception, schedule appointments, and maintain practitioner calendars.
• Coordinate logistics for workshops, seminars, and events hosted by UCC/UWO.
• Oversee facilities and equipment maintenance, and support technology solutions to improve operational efficiency.
• Gather, compile, and analyse data on counselling sessions, student demographics, and feedback; produce regular reports and recommendations.

Required profile

• Minimum diploma with at least three years relevant experience, or a university degree in psychology, counselling, social work, education, or related fields.
• 1‑3 years of administrative experience in an educational, mental‑health, or social‑service setting.
• Strong organisational, time‑management, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft 365.
• Experience using appointment‑booking systems.
• Familiarity with case‑management software.
