Senior Global Auditor, Finance Audit

About the role

The Senior Global Auditor will lead financial audits of Abbott Laboratories' worldwide businesses over an 18‑24 month rotation within Corporate Audit. This position blends technical audit expertise with cross‑functional collaboration to ensure accurate financial reporting and robust internal controls.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and finalize audits from fieldwork through report issuance, documenting work clearly and timely.
• Assess financial statement accuracy, internal control adequacy, and compliance with corporate policies and local regulations.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and communicate findings to management.
• Coordinate with external audit firms, leveraging translation resources and providing on‑site coaching.
• Partner with auditors and managers across Finance, IT, and Compliance to align audit objectives.
• Foster a collaborative team environment and mentor new auditors.
• Travel 40‑60% as needed to support audit engagements.

Required profile

• 3‑6 years of experience in public accounting, preferably Big 4.
• Bachelor’s degree; CPA, CIA, or equivalent certification highly preferred.
• Experience in the healthcare industry is a plus.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to work independently.
