Senior Investigation Officer (Investigations)

About the role

The Investigations team within EnterpriseSG's Internal Audit division safeguards the organisation's integrity by managing end-to-end investigations of whistleblowing reports and governance breaches, working closely with law enforcement agencies and senior management. Reporting to the Deputy Director (Investigation), the Investigation Officer runs the full investigation lifecycle, from preliminary assessment to reporting findings to management. This is an individual contributor role with no formal supervisory responsibility.

Key responsibilities

• Assess whistleblowing information received through the tip-off email and hotline and decide whether an investigation is needed
• Interview relevant parties and record their statements
• Plan and execute investigations, keep complete work papers and write clear investigation reports
• Handle appeals and case escalations
• Liaise with law enforcement agencies for case referrals
• Present findings to management
• Support fraud awareness initiatives and training, and help develop a fraud data analytics tool

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience; prior case investigation experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of governance, risk and control principles
• Able to evaluate risks and recommend improvements to governance and internal controls
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Highly organised, able to work independently and in teams while prioritising tasks
• Individual contributor role with no formal supervisory responsibility
