Senior / Lead Mechanical Engineer

About the role

Aurecon is looking for a Senior / Lead Mechanical Engineer to join its Singapore Buildings business. You will work on complex building and infrastructure projects, driving design from concept through construction and final review.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of mechanical engineering projects from initial design to construction and handover.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams locally and regionally to ensure design integrity.
• Manage project components, budgets, schedules, quality assurance and client communications.
• Support workload planning, resource forecasting and proposal preparation.
• Review drawings, specifications and reports for compliance and prepare technical appraisals.
• Build and maintain client relationships and identify business development opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5‑8 years of experience in mechanical design and commissioning for commercial/industrial buildings.
• Experience with data centre projects is preferred.
• Strong project management and leadership abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of relevant engineering codes, standards and practices.
