Senior Lead Product Manager – Open Government Products

About the role

Join a lean, startup‑like team within the Government Technology Agency to lead the development of "Plumber", a Zapier‑style workflow builder that powers critical public‑sector processes. You will own the product vision, strategy, and execution, turning months‑long manual workflows into days‑long automated ones.

Key responsibilities

• Define and communicate a long‑term product roadmap for Plumber and its ecosystem of connectors.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and government stakeholders to design scalable, secure, and auditable workflow solutions.
• Prioritise features that expand adoption from the current 2% of public officers to the majority of government operations.
• Ensure the platform integrates seamlessly with existing tools such as M365, Telegram, Slack, and other agency systems.
• Lead a cross‑functional team of 7, fostering a flat hierarchy and rapid iteration cycles.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing complex, system‑of‑systems products for large organisations.
• Deep understanding of public‑sector processes and the ability to translate diverse agency needs into a unified platform.
• Strong product leadership skills with a track record of taking products from prototype to wide‑scale deployment.
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast‑moving, startup‑like environment.
