Senior Legal Counsel

About the role

This senior position supports SHEIN’s regional business and operations, focusing on intellectual property compliance and dispute matters. The role requires a Singapore‑qualified lawyer who thrives in a fast‑paced e‑commerce environment and can provide pragmatic, business‑centric legal advice.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal advice and support on all IP and general contentious matters.
• Collaborate with business teams to ensure IP compliance, improve processes, and prevent infringement.
• Conduct IP and dispute‑related risk assessments with cross‑disciplinary and global legal teams.
• Engage with industry associations, IP regulators, and brands on IP issues.
• Handle IP and commercial disputes, including takedown notices, evidence gathering, liaising with external counsel, negotiating settlements, and representing SHEIN in mediations and legal proceedings.
• Deliver day‑to‑day legal support and develop efficient strategies for handling legal issues.

Required profile

• 6‑10 years post‑qualification experience at reputable law firms or large corporations; in‑house experience is a plus.
• Extensive practical experience in intellectual property law and dispute resolution.
• Experience managing takedown notices on e‑commerce platforms.
• High degree of independence, initiative, and sound judgement.
• Commercial and pragmatic approach to legal advice while maintaining professional integrity.
• Proven ability to lead multi‑jurisdictional projects and coordinate with external advisors.
• Singapore‑qualified lawyer with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
