Senior Legal Counsel

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to lead legal matters across research & development, intellectual property, and regulatory policy for a global ICT infrastructure leader. The role supports regional expansion and protects the company’s innovation portfolio throughout Southeast Asia.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic legal advice for R&D collaborations, complex procurement and labour relations, drafting and negotiating high‑value commercial contracts.
• Oversee corporate dispute resolution to minimise risk and ensure compliance with regional regulations.
• Develop and manage IP capabilities across Southeast Asia, leading mediation, arbitration and litigation to enforce the company’s IP rights.
• Monitor legislative changes and analyse policy trends in AI governance, export controls, labour law and IP protection, delivering actionable insights to senior management.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Law (LL.M or J.D.) with a focus on Intellectual Property or Corporate Law.
• Professional fluency in English and Chinese (written and oral).
• Deep knowledge of Singapore labour law and broader regional legal frameworks.
• Experience in a multinational technology firm or a top‑tier law firm is preferred.
