Senior Mechanical Engineer – Robotics

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join a fast‑growing robotics and autonomous technology company in Singapore. You will lead the design, development and delivery of advanced robotic hardware platforms, working closely with cross‑functional engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop mechanical systems and components for autonomous robotic platforms.
• Lead and mentor design engineers, ensuring project timelines and quality standards.
• Own the full mechanical design lifecycle from concept through prototyping, testing and product release.
• Produce rapid prototypes using 3D printing, laser cutting and sheet‑metal fabrication.
• Create 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, BOMs and technical documentation in SolidWorks.
• Conduct design reviews, DFMEA analysis and risk assessments to improve reliability and safety.
• Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers on tooling, sourcing and production feasibility.
• Support NPI activities and provide technical assistance during manufacturing and assembly.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 4–5 years of experience in mechanical design, robotics or hardware product development.
• Strong understanding of product development methodologies such as Agile, Stage‑Gate or Lean.
• Hands‑on experience with rapid prototyping and mechanical fabrication methods.
• Proven ability to work in fast‑paced, dynamic engineering environments.

Required skills

• SolidWorks and other mechanical CAD design tools.
• 3D printing, laser cutting and sheet‑metal fabrication.
• DFMEA and risk assessment techniques.
• NPI processes and supplier management.
• Six Sigma, APQP or PPAP methodologies (advantageous).
