Senior Pharmacist – Inpatient Ward

About the role

The Senior Pharmacist will work on an inpatient ward, delivering safe and effective medication therapy to patients. This role combines clinical expertise with operational oversight to ensure high‑quality pharmaceutical care within the hospital.

Key responsibilities

• Perform medication reconciliation and dispensing for inpatients.
• Provide specialised counselling and medication review for patients.
• Supply drug information to healthcare professionals and participate in on‑call rotation.
• Ensure performance indicators and SOPs are met, complying with accreditation and legal standards.
• Review medication orders and discharge prescriptions for appropriateness.
• Supervise Pharmacy Technicians and Assistants as needed.
• Support hospital projects assigned by senior pharmacy leadership.
• Manage drug distribution and maintain a strict inventory control system, including controlled substances.

Required profile

• Recognised Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy.
• Valid practising pharmacist licence registered with the Singapore Pharmacy Council.
• Minimum 1 year experience in a hospital inpatient setting.
• Willingness to participate in on‑call duties (no overnight shifts).
