Senior Product Engineer - Photonics Devices

About the role

Jabil Circuit (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. is looking for a Senior Product Engineer who will cover the full product lifecycle, from design to mass production and continuous improvement. The role requires a strong technical background in the manufacturing of photonics devices.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage new product introduction (NPI) activities, ensuring a smooth transition from design to manufacturing.
• Optimize manufacturing processes for efficiency, yield and cost-effectiveness.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for production issues, yield excursions and customer returns.
• Collaborate with design engineering, quality and supply chain teams to resolve technical challenges and improve product performance.
• Develop and implement test plans, fixtures and equipment for product validation and production testing.
• Perform statistical data analysis to identify trends, predict failures and drive continuous process improvement.
• Take part in design reviews, giving DFM (Design for Manufacturability) and DFT (Design for Testability) feedback.
• Prepare and present technical reports, analyses and recommendations to management and cross-functional teams.
• Stay up to date with industry trends, new technologies and best practices in electronics manufacturing.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in product engineering within the electronics manufacturing industry.
• Demonstrated experience with statistical process control (SPC), Six Sigma methodologies and problem-solving tools such as 8D and FMEA.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills, and strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in test methodologies, equipment and instrumentation (e.g. oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, DMMs).
• Statistical process control (SPC) and Six Sigma.
