Senior QC Specialist (2-Year Contract)

About the role

GSK is looking for a Senior QC Specialist for a 2-year contract at its Tuas Vaccines site. The role provides technical support to the projects team on Quality Control activities for new projects, representing the Tuas QC unit and collaborating with global and Belgium QC as well as global Manufacturing Science and Technology (MSAT) on QC validation and operations. It covers QC testing, test method validation, analytical equipment qualification, method transfer, laboratory and analytical capacity, and prepares the unit for lifecycle management.

Key responsibilities

• Lead method validation, development, verification, transfer and introduction of new equipment or technology, and perform testing as required.
• Advise the projects team on technical QC matters to ensure compliance with corporate, regulatory and external agency regulations.
• Work with global and local QC stakeholders on analytical transfer plans, validation master plans, cost management and training plans, and on test method innovation and facility design.
• Write or review change controls, deviations, CAPAs and GMP documents such as SOPs, protocols and reports.
• Keep spending within the project budget and respect safety, security and laboratory policies.
• Plan the transition from project mode to routine QC operations and share knowledge through training.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biochemistry, microbiology, life sciences or a related discipline.
• Minimum 4 to 6 years' experience in a QC or analytical laboratory, preferably in pharmaceutical or life sciences settings.
• Practical knowledge of GMP principles and laboratory quality systems.
• Hands-on experience with analytical methods and laboratory investigations.
• Experience coordinating method validation, verification or transfer activities.
• Good written and verbal English.
• Preferred: advanced degree, experience with stability testing, regulatory inspection support, and experience leading or coaching small teams.
