About the role
We are seeking a motivated Senior Research Fellow to join the Centre for Microbiome Medicine at LKCMedicine, NTU Singapore. The role focuses on bioinformatics-driven investigations of microbiome‑host interactions, with an emphasis on colorectal cancer and metabolic disorders.
Key responsibilities
- Perform bioinformatics analysis of microbiome‑related omics data, including metagenomic and metatranscriptomic sequencing.
- Generate taxonomic profiles, functional annotations and reconstruct metagenome‑assembled genomes (MAGs).
- Integrate microbiome datasets with host genomics, metabolomics and clinical information to uncover biological insights.
- Develop and implement novel algorithms for multi‑omics data analysis.
- Lead independent research projects, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and present findings at scientific meetings.
- Prepare and submit grant applications to support ongoing and future research initiatives.
Required profile
- Academic background in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology or a related discipline.
- Strong interest in molecular microbiology and translational research.
- Proven ability to conduct independent research and work collaboratively.
- Excellent scientific communication skills for publications and presentations.
