Senior Site Manager

About the role

The Senior Site Manager will support the Site Project Manager, Project Manager and Construction Manager in leading the site team, coordinating all on‑site activities and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the SPM/PM/CM in leading a multidisciplinary site team, including consortium partners and site engineers.
• Manage day‑to‑day operations such as resource allocation, manpower planning, construction progress monitoring and cost control.
• Ensure project completion in line with budget, schedule and contract documents.
• Liaise with the employer, superintending officer, RSS team, subcontractors and authorities to resolve site issues and maintain compliance.
• Develop and implement a site‑specific safety plan in coordination with the employer’s safety manager.
• Prepare accurate and timely project reports covering schedules, deviations, subcontractor changes and client issues.
• Create logistics plans that enable coordinated and efficient work on site.
• Evaluate trade contractor method statements for buildability and provide feedback.
• Conduct regular meetings with trade contractors to review shop drawings, material lead times, manpower projections and quality/performance matters.
• Adhere to all quality, safety, health and environmental requirements.
• Perform any other duties assigned by management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or an equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience with a main contractor in the construction industry.
• Experience in condominium or commercial building projects is advantageous.
• Proven ability to lead BCA CONQUAS and Quality Management processes.
• Completed the “Manage Workplace Safety and Health in Construction Sites” or equivalent construction safety course for project managers.
• Strong ability to prioritize tasks, work independently and meet tight deadlines under pressure.
