Senior Technical Support Engineer

About the role

KLA, which makes inspection tools, metrology systems and process solutions for electronics, is hiring a Senior Technical Support Engineer in Singapore. The role sits within the KLA Services team, which provides installation services and 24/7 technical support and parts delivery for customers' KLA assets. The engineer supports the field service team and travels around Asia.

Key responsibilities

• Support the field service team with tool troubleshooting through the KLA escalation process, CIP implementation and technical information consulting.
• Coordinate with field teams and divisional engineering on issue escalation and solution communication.
• Deliver technical training to the field service team and to customers.
• Assist the field team in the first new product penetration in the region, and set up SOPs and troubleshooting guides for key hardware activities and issues.
• Travel around the Asia area to carry out the above tasks.

Required profile

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• More than 5 years of technical support experience in the semiconductor/conductor industry.
• Competence in communication, teamwork, problem solving and customer focus.
• Fluent English reading, writing and speaking is required.

Required skills

• Experience troubleshooting and maintaining PVD, CVD and Etch tools for more than 3 years is a must.
