Service Technician

About the role

The Service Technician provides after‑sales technical support for industrial equipment, ensuring efficient assembly, delivery, commissioning, troubleshooting and maintenance at customer sites. The role demands hands‑on technical work, predictive maintenance analysis and strong customer interaction.

Key responsibilities

• Read and locate wire terminations on control panels, sensors and actuators using electrical schematics.
• Test, replace and calibrate components such as relays, VFDs, power supplies, motors and encoders.
• Upload/download PLC and HMI programs and monitor live code to resolve sequence stalls.
• Configure inverter parameters and perform point‑to‑point checks to verify sensor and valve mappings.
• Analyse machine cycle times and error logs for predictive maintenance.
• Respond urgently to service calls, perform scheduled maintenance and verify equipment before hand‑over.
• Assemble, deliver and commission equipment on‑site and train end‑users.
• Maintain safety, housekeeping and EHS compliance at both workshop and customer locations.
• Prepare parts recommendations, complete service orders and support seminars or product demonstrations.

Required profile

• NITEC or Diploma in Automotive Technology, Mechatronics or Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience with overhead crane service and repair is preferred.
• Class 3 or 3A driving licence preferred.
• Residency in Singapore.
