Shift Engineer

About the role

The Shift Engineer ensures continuous, fault‑free operation of BEUMER's baggage handling systems at Singapore Changi Airport. Working in a control‑room environment, you will monitor system performance, coordinate rapid fault response, and support preventive maintenance activities.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor system performance and log critical incidents during assigned shifts.
• Dispatch technicians promptly to resolve faults and maintain uninterrupted baggage flow.
• Oversee Control Room Senior and Technical Officers, ensuring disciplined execution of duties.
• Coordinate baggage diversion and evacuation during breakdowns to avoid service disruption.
• Provide timely updates to client management on system status and fault resolution.
• Maintain operation log books, update preventive‑maintenance schedules, and conduct daily start‑up checks.
• Execute scheduled system switch‑overs, server reboots, and support troubleshooting activities.
