Site Engineer / Site Manager – Construction Projects

About the role

The company is seeking a Site Engineer / Site Manager to oversee day‑to‑day operations on building and construction projects. You will ensure that work is carried out safely, on schedule, within budget and to the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and supervise daily site activities, coordinating subcontractors, suppliers and trades to keep work aligned with the programme.
• Interpret drawings, specifications and contract documents, raise RFIs and resolve technical issues promptly.
• Plan and monitor short‑term and long‑term programmes, report progress, delays and risks, and control site costs.
• Track quantities, support variation and progress claim preparation, and manage materials, equipment and labour.
• Enforce site HSE requirements, implement quality control procedures, inspections and testing, and close out defects and snags.
• Act as the main on‑site point of contact for clients, consultants and subcontractors, preparing regular site reports and supporting testing, commissioning and handover documentation.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or a related field.
• 1 to 5 years of experience in building and construction projects with main‑contractor exposure, specifically in automotive dealerships, heavy equipment facilities or distribution network projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, site safety and quality control.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural and MEP drawings.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Experience with project planning tools such as MS Project or Primavera.
• AutoCAD competency (advantageous).
