Special Project Manager, Community Development Council

About the role

The Pasir Central Community Development Council (CDC) is looking for a Special Project Manager to lead the implementation of its Jobs Nearby @ CDC initiative and related programmes in the district. The role connects residents with employment opportunities and community services through targeted outreach, stakeholder partnerships and programme coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Support Job Ambassadors in their daily operations at job clinics with operational assistance and coordination.
• Support the delivery of capability-building sessions for Job Ambassadors so they can give high-touch job assistance.
• Implement outreach plans to raise CDC awareness and participation in job advisory services.
• Maintain partnerships with employers, merchants, SMEs, training providers, grassroots groups and community partners.
• Process and manage case referrals and queries from the public, inter-agency partners and Grassroots Advisers, resolving them promptly.
• Track job placement outcomes and help Job Ambassadors with job-matching activities and strategies.
• Gather feedback from Job Ambassadors and stakeholders to refine the programme.
• Manage and track data on residents served, job referrals and placement targets for reporting.
• Partner with stakeholders in district-wide career events and upskilling workshops.
• Perform other ad-hoc duties, including work on Task Forces/committees and other assigned tasks.

Required profile

• Knowledge of outreach, career and skills advisory, community engagement, HR/recruitment or workforce development.
• Knowledge of a second language such as Mandarin, Malay, Tamil or a dialect to engage diverse residents.
• Coaching and/or facilitation certification is desirable.
• Familiarity with employment trends, workforce policies and the training ecosystem in Singapore.
