SSD Validation Engineer / Senior Engineer

About the role

Micron is looking for a Validation Engineer (or Senior Engineer) to join a team of engineers developing state-of-the-art storage solutions. The engineer solves complex problems and ensures Micron's products are released to customers flawlessly and without issues.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute validation test plans for SSD devices on PC systems
• Analyze and write test standards and procedures
• Maintain documentation of test results to support debugging and software modification
• Analyze test results to confirm existing functionality and recommend and implement improvements to test coverage
• Perform failure analysis and work with other functions to resolve SSD system issues
• Provide system analysis support for customer or yield-related issues
• Improve the customer integration experience
• Integrate AI-assisted tools and insights into daily work, and share AI-enabled improvements within your scope

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
• Experience with motherboards and server architecture, including setup and troubleshooting
• Experience in SSD validation or firmware coding

Required skills

• Familiarity with PCIe and NVMe storage interface protocols, and Windows and Linux operating systems
• Project planning skills are a plus
• Experience with PCIe/NVMe bus analyzers and analog/mixed-signal oscilloscopes is beneficial
• Ability to apply baseline digital fluency and role-appropriate AI literacy to use AI tools responsibly
