Staff Nurse – Long-Term Care Facility

About the role

The facility is seeking a qualified Staff Nurse to deliver high‑quality nursing care to residents in a long‑term care setting. You will work closely with physicians, allied health professionals, and the multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, compassionate, and person‑centred care.

Key responsibilities

• Provide specialised nursing services and adhere to approved nursing standards.
• Collaborate with residents' doctors and the multidisciplinary team to develop and update care plans.
• Assess new admissions, administer medications safely, and manage control drugs.
• Monitor resident responses to interventions and recommend care‑plan revisions.
• Initiate preventive and rehabilitative nursing procedures with allied health staff.
• Supervise emergency situations, ensuring prompt action and escalation.
• Participate in quality‑assurance activities, audits, and staff performance appraisals.
• Prepare rosters and daily staff assignments for the ward.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Nursing or Diploma in Nursing (or equivalent).
• Valid SNB registration and Practical Certificate.
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience.
• BCLS and AED certification.
• Completed InterRai LTCF Assessment.
• Proficient in basic computer skills.
• Willingness to work 12‑hour rotating shifts.
