Surgical Nurse – Ophthalmology (Full‑time)

About the role

This full‑time, on‑site Surgical Nurse position supports ophthalmic surgeons at Dr Natasha Lim Eye Centre’s MOH‑licensed Ambulatory Day Surgery Centre in Royal Square, Novena, Singapore. The role involves delivering safe, patient‑centred eye care throughout the surgical pathway.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms, surgical instruments, and supplies while adhering to strict infection‑control protocols.
• Conduct pre‑operative assessments, patient preparation, intra‑operative assistance, and post‑operative monitoring and education.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, maintain accurate documentation, and support quality‑improvement initiatives.
• Participate in the continuous improvement of surgical workflows and adopt new technologies and techniques.

Required profile

• Valid SNB nursing licence.
• Strong operating‑room and surgical skills, including instrument handling and aseptic technique.
• Familiarity with ophthalmic procedures and peri‑operative nursing care.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, attention to detail, and commitment to safety.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced clinical environment; fresh graduates are welcome as training will be provided.
