Tax Associate – Singapore Office

About the role

Our international law firm is expanding its Singapore office and is looking for a Tax Associate to support cross‑border tax matters across the APAC region. You will work closely with senior lawyers and clients, providing strategic tax advice that aligns with commercial objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor legal, regulatory and market developments affecting international taxation in APAC and deliver structured updates.
• Advise clients on tax strategy and transaction‑related tax issues, ensuring alignment with client priorities and industry context.
• Prepare and oversee record‑keeping, reporting and filing obligations for client businesses and transactions.
• Respond to internal lawyer enquiries with clear, accurate, and timely tax guidance.
• Contribute to the firm’s reputation for tax expertise by developing high‑quality legal content for client‑facing initiatives and business development.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer admitted to practice in a common‑law jurisdiction.
• 3–9 years post‑qualification experience, preferably with cross‑border or APAC exposure.
• Strong technical expertise in tax law.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Proven experience engaging senior stakeholders on strategic initiatives.
• Effective time‑management skills to prioritize competing demands in a fast‑paced environment.
