Testing Engineer (Power Generation Systems) – 1 Year Contract

About the role

We are looking for a Testing Engineer specialized in power generation systems to join our team on a 1‑year contract. The role involves commissioning, testing and supporting generators, pump sets and marine propulsion engines for industrial and offshore projects.

Key responsibilities

• Perform installation inspections and commissioning activities at project sites.
• Coordinate with customers, project engineers and internal teams to ensure successful project execution.
• Prepare, test, start‑up and commission generators, pump sets and marine propulsion engines for offshore, marine and industrial applications.
• Provide technical support for mechanical and electrical workshop activities, including equipment testing and rental operations.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and conduct system testing to ensure optimal equipment performance.
• Prepare commissioning reports and maintain accurate project documentation.
• Travel overseas as required to support commissioning and technical service assignments.

Required profile

• Diploma in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in power generation systems within industrial, marine, electric power or oil & gas sectors.
• Experience with industrial engines and power generation equipment is highly preferred.
• Willingness to travel overseas for project support.

Required skills

• Generator control systems, synchronization and parallel operations.
• Commissioning of generators, pump sets and marine propulsion engines.
• Interpretation of mechanical and electrical drawings and technical documentation.
• Technical troubleshooting and system testing.
• IT proficiency for reporting and data analysis.
