Vice Senior Manager, Ichiba (E-Commerce) Product

About the role

Rakuten Asia Pte. Ltd., based in Singapore's Central Business District and acting as the regional headquarters for Asia, is looking for a Vice Senior Manager for its Ichiba (E-Commerce) product. The role covers the management, development, planning and operation of existing and new business using Rakuten's capabilities, working with internal and external stakeholders to grow the business through product and business innovation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the Rakuten Promotion Platform (RPP), the marketing solution for Ichiba merchants
• Drive business KPIs by generating and enhancing product value, with a focus on merchants' Gross Merchandise Sales (GMS)
• Act as project lead, collaborating with internal Rakuten businesses and external digital marketing partners
• Build and sustain strong relationships with internal and external business decision-makers and ensure a strong pipeline for the Ichiba business
• Build and maintain a growth strategy for business sustainability
• Cultivate the professional growth of section members

Required profile

• At least 7 years of experience in digital marketing, from agency, consulting, media/platform or client side
• Business-level Japanese, as frequent communication with Japanese stakeholders is required
• People management experience
• Demonstrated expertise in project management and business leadership, or equivalent experience
• E-commerce business experience preferred
• Excellent communicator with strong presentation and facilitation skills; team leader and self-starter
