Associate/Senior Associate – Product Accounting & Financial Control

About the role

We are seeking an Associate or Senior Associate to join our product accounting and financial control team in Singapore. The role involves handling accounting, trade validation, and reconciliation across multiple asset classes, supporting month‑end close and regulatory reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily product accounting, trade validation, and reconciliations for futures, options, OTC derivatives, securities and fixed income.
• Ensure accurate and timely posting of accounting entries and resolve reconciliation breaks, exceptions, and discrepancies.
• Support month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end financial close activities, including preparation of financial schedules and audit support.
• Assist in preparing and submitting regulatory reports to MAS, SGX, clearing houses and other relevant bodies.
• Maintain strong financial controls and ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Leverage SQL, Python, Snowflake and other data tools to automate reporting, reconciliations and finance processes.
• Partner with Finance, Operations, Risk, Technology and Front Office teams to enhance processes, controls, data quality and system efficiency.
• Support management reporting, financial analysis, finance transformation initiatives, new product implementations and process improvement projects.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in financial accounting, capital‑markets product accounting, regulatory reporting or financial control within the financial services industry.
• Prior experience in a bank, brokerage, futures commission merchant, clearing member, asset manager or similar institution is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting standards and statutory accounting.
• Experience preparing regulatory reports for MAS and/or SGX is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of exchange‑traded derivatives, OTC derivatives, securities, treasury or capital‑markets products is a significant advantage.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
• Fluency in English and Chinese (reading, writing and speaking).
