Director of Transport Architecture

About the role

We are looking for a senior‑level architectural professional to lead SAA Architects’ transport practice in Singapore. The Director will shape strategy, drive new business, and oversee the design and delivery of complex rail and transport infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Set vision and direction for the transport architecture practice, aligning growth, profitability and design quality.
• Identify, pursue and secure major transport projects, leading bids, tenders and client presentations.
• Build and maintain senior relationships with clients, government agencies, transport authorities and consultants.
• Define design and delivery strategies, ensuring technical quality from concept through construction.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams, fostering development and maintaining high performance.
• Ensure project outcomes meet client briefs, authority requirements, commuter needs and SAA’s strategic objectives.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in transport architecture, particularly MRT stations, rail infrastructure, depots and transit‑oriented developments.
• Proven track record in business development and securing large‑scale projects.
• Strong client‑facing leadership with sound commercial judgement.
• Ability to guide multidisciplinary teams through complex stakeholder environments.
