Finance & Admin Officer – Early Childhood Centre

About the role

Support the centre’s finance and administrative operations, handling payment processing, bank reconciliation, petty cash, financial record keeping, data management and regulatory compliance for Metta Preschool.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare ERF, payment vouchers and hand cheques accurately for financial transactions.
• Submit financial documents to headquarters before monthly deadlines.
• Perform bank reconciliations and communicate results to HQ.
• Manage petty cash transactions and maintain accurate records.
• Code accounting entries on supporting documents for bookkeeping.
• Monitor locum service schedules and verify centre invoices.
• Provide backup support for accounts receivable functions.
• Maintain office equipment and software readiness.
• Upload and maintain records in the DOVE system, including donations, service agreements, CSR activities and incident reports.
• Update children’s enrolment and subsidy information in DOVE.

Required profile

• Higher NITEC/Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Business Management or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in finance, accounts or administrative functions.
• Basic accounting knowledge covering payment processing, bank reconciliation, petty cash and bookkeeping.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
