Accountant, Corporate Finance & Reporting

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Accountant to join the Corporate Finance team at Scoot. You will own end‑to‑end financial closing activities, ensure the integrity of our financial records, and support compliance with accounting standards while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Handle monthly, quarterly, and year‑end closing activities to deliver timely and accurate financial reports.
• Prepare journal entries, bank reconciliations, and supporting schedules in line with accounting standards.
• Assist in the preparation of statistics for all surveys.
• Collaborate with business units to gather financial data and resolve discrepancies.
• Provide documentation and explanations for audits.
• Support continuous‑improvement initiatives to streamline accounting processes and enhance efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline, or ACCA/equivalent qualification.
• Strong analytical and reasoning abilities with a focus on accuracy and deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills for effective cross‑departmental collaboration.
• Knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Familiarity with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS).
