Analyst 1, Analytical (QC)

About the role

Lonza, a global leader in life sciences and the first biologics contract manufacturer in Singapore, is hiring an Analyst 1, Analytical (QC) in Tuas. The role supports business needs by performing testing and analysis of samples in line with standard procedures and cGMP.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze final product, in-process and raw material samples according to Standard Operating Procedures and Test Methods
• Document and review results in line with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP)
• Solve analytical method problems and troubleshoot equipment
• Take part in method transfers and validation, and in equipment qualification
• Select QC equipment and standards/reagents, and carry out assay trend analysis and document updates
• Support general lab tasks such as housekeeping, equipment maintenance, supply inventory and ordering, and glassware management

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in a relevant science field or equivalent
• Experience in a laboratory setting, preferably in biotech or a medically related field
• Ability to solve problems and analyse data

Required skills

• Understanding and execution of spectroscopy and other assigned methods, including chromatography (HPLC)
• Protein concentration methods (A280 or SoloVPE) and potency methods
• Other physicochemical methods
