Assistant Manager – Finance (AISG) – 2-year Contract

About the role

The Assistant Manager, Finance (AISG) role supports the financial operations of the AISG unit at NTU on a two‑year full‑time contract. You will work closely with the AISG team to ensure accurate payments, invoicing and financial reporting for educational and research collaborations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage non‑grant finance operations for AISG, including payments, invoicing and fixed‑asset administration.
• Support financial planning and monitoring of educational collaborations, research projects and gifts.
• Ensure accurate and timely payments and follow up on outstanding fund receipts.
• Handle enquiries from collaborators or trainees regarding financial matters.
• Assist management with financial and management reporting, audit preparation and related issues.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related discipline.
• 2–3 years of finance operations experience, preferably in a university or research environment.
• Basic understanding of research grant administration and compliance; grant‑claims experience is an advantage.
• Strong ability to liaise with researchers, schools/centres and external collaborators on financial issues.
• Detail‑oriented, organized and capable of handling multiple deadlines and high operational volumes.
• Team‑oriented with the ability to escalate issues appropriately to senior finance staff.
