Assistant Research Officer - Fungal and Microalgal Biotransformation

About the role

The Dr Gregory Jedd Group at Temasek Life Science Laboratory is looking for a motivated person to join its multidisciplinary team developing biotransformation methods that use fungi and microalgae to turn waste streams into high-value products.

Key responsibilities

• Run experiments combining microbiology, biochemistry, genetics, microscopy and computational biology methods
• Maintain accurate and detailed laboratory records
• Handle basic laboratory organisation and administration

Required profile

• BSc in the life sciences or a related field
• Prior experience in laboratory research
• A good understanding of eukaryotic genetics and cell biology
• Experience with genetics, microscopy, molecular biology or microbiology is helpful
• A keen interest in learning and exploring new subjects
