Bike Mechanic I (Full-time & Part-time)

About the role

Decathlon is hiring Bike Mechanics (Bike Mechanic I) for its Orchard and Centrepoint stores in Singapore. The role is open to full-time and part-time candidates and combines customer service with hands-on bicycle maintenance. You will share your passion for sport with customers and deliver a 5-star experience.

Key responsibilities

• Satisfy customers with sincere advice, quality service and a positive attitude towards their sporting needs
• Maintain an appealing product layout, ensure product availability and handle reliable stock reception
• Keep the store running efficiently so customers can access and checkout products easily
• Ensure the safety of teammates and customers at the workplace
• Take initiative for your own training and development, and act independently
• Work as a team player, going the extra mile during busy periods such as weekends and holidays

Required profile

• Customer service oriented
• Knowledgeable about bikes and cycling, passionate about cycling and bicycle maintenance
• Able to advise customers on bike selection and basic maintenance
• Comfortable supporting customers in a retail sport environment
• Good communication skills, problem-solving ability and a willingness to train regularly

Required skills

• Technical assessment of bicycles for service
• Clear notes of the work to be done and updating the database
• Executing the necessary repairs on bicycles
• Tracking time and parts used per repair
• Organising and managing bicycle tools
