Biotechnologist (Cell & Gene Therapy) - 12 Month Fixed Term

About the role

Lonza is hiring a Biotechnologist for its Cell & Gene Therapy team in Tuas, Singapore, on a 12-month fixed-term contract. The role gives hands-on experience in cGMP manufacturing, aseptic processing and cleanroom operations within biopharmaceutical manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

• Perform cGMP manufacturing activities using aseptic and cleanroom practices.
• Complete batch records, logbooks and GMP documentation accurately and on time.
• Perform environmental monitoring, equipment cleaning, sanitization and production support.
• Use electronic systems including DMS, LIMS and TrackWise.
• Review batch records and logbooks to support timely manufacturing.
• Identify and escalate deviations, equipment alarms and other non-routine events.
• Maintain training requirements and contribute to safety, quality and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Degree or equivalent in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Life Sciences, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Relevant academic, technical or industry experience; biopharmaceutical manufacturing experience is an advantage but not essential.
• Basic understanding of cGMP, quality, safety and data integrity principles.
• Ability to learn and work with electronic manufacturing and quality systems.
• Strong communication skills, collaborative and proactive approach.
• Willingness to work in a cleanroom and on a rotating 12-hour shift pattern.
