D365 Finance Functional Lead

About the role

As an ERP Finance Lead, you will act as a trusted advisor to clients, leading a functional workstream through the implementation of complex Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations solutions. You will join the Southeast Asia (SEA) Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations team based in Singapore, leading finance projects across SEA and growing the business while working closely with practice leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a workstream from requirement definition and collection through to build and deployment in Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations.
• Elicit, document and validate business requirements from clients and stakeholders, and define functional and non-functional requirements aligned with business processes.
• Own and manage the requirements process, including approval, communication, traceability and reuse.
• Lead client workshops, analyse business process decomposition and design solutions for application and process gaps.
• Prototype and configure business processes to fit customer constraints.
• Support key users during user acceptance testing, addressing issues so the system meets client expectations.
• Manage both a local/nearshore team and an offshore team, and collaborate closely with the customer's counterpart.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of experience as a finance consultant with Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations.
• At least 4 years of experience as a Finance lead for Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations.
• Strong consulting and client-facing experience from an implementation partner.
• Experience leading workstreams and managing internal and external stakeholders on project status and progress.
• Able to learn and adapt to Avanade delivery tools and methodology.
• Finance industry background (ACCA, CPA) is highly desirable; D365 Finance and Operations Finance certifications are a plus.
