DevOps Engineer (Transcribe)

About the role

Assurity Trusted Solutions (ATS), a subsidiary of GovTech, is hiring a DevOps Engineer for its Transcribe business, a speech-to-text-to-insights platform with a web app and an API. You will work on small and large projects, building and maintaining the infrastructure behind them, in line with the Government's cloud-first policy.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the development, deployment, orchestration and maintenance of data pipelines for Data Science products
• Provide DevOps architecture implementation and operational support
• Implement and integrate cybersecurity tools and processes
• Develop and manage processes, automation, best practices and documentation
• Prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
• Maintain internal engineering productivity tools and environments
• Research product and environment issues independently
• Monitor automation to detect, predict and prevent issues in the environment and code base
• Future-proof technical environments with high automation, availability, scalability and resilience

Required profile

• Breadth of knowledge in government IT infrastructure and experience in government networks is helpful
• Experience in patch/update scheduling and security incident response procedures is likely needed
• Disciplined approach, strong problem-solving instincts and a commitment to continuous learning

Required skills

• Programming: Bash, Python, Go, JavaScript
• Web frameworks and microservice architecture
• Networking concepts
• Infrastructure tools: Docker, Kubernetes, Prometheus, Alertmanager, Grafana, AWS
• On-premise deployment, networking and infrastructure experience is advantageous
• Services such as Elasticsearch, OpenShift, MongoDB, Postgres, Nginx
• Terraform is a plus
• OS, automation (CI/CD), cybersecurity, public key infrastructure, cloud computing, web and API development, distributed systems, Linux
