Director, Strategic Procurement, Equipment (Semicon OSAT)

About the role

A leading global advanced technology manufacturer is looking for an experienced procurement leader to own global category management strategy for its semiconductor OSAT equipment portfolio. The role partners with senior business leaders across operations, engineering, technology and finance to create sustainable value, drive supplier innovation, ensure cost competitiveness and build operational resilience. It is based in Singapore and is permanent.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement long-term category strategies aligned with business and technology roadmaps.
• Lead a team of procurement and category management professionals, building their capabilities and performance.
• Build and strengthen strategic supplier partnerships supporting innovation, cost reduction, quality and supply continuity.
• Partner with executive stakeholders across operations, engineering, finance and manufacturing to deliver procurement objectives.
• Drive annual cost improvement programmes and total cost of ownership optimisation.
• Lead supplier performance management, business reviews and risk mitigation programmes.
• Monitor market trends, supply chain developments and emerging technologies to find new sourcing opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business or a related discipline; MBA is advantageous.
• At least 10 years of procurement, sourcing or category management experience in semiconductor, electronics manufacturing, capital equipment or a related advanced manufacturing environment.
• At least 5 years of leadership experience managing procurement or category management teams.
• Proven track record of strategic sourcing and category management programmes, cost reduction, supplier development and total cost ownership initiatives.
• Demonstrated experience managing supplier risk, performance and business continuity.

Required skills

• Strong stakeholder management and the ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead complex cross-functional projects.
• Commercial acumen with experience negotiating high-value contracts and supplier agreements.

• Remuneration of SG$13,000 to SG$17,000 per month (SG$156,000 to SG$204,000 per year).
