Electrical Designer (AutoCAD/ETAP/Power Systems)

About the role

We are seeking an Electrical Designer to create and analyse electrical drawings and power system models for our consultancy projects. The role involves using AutoCAD and ETAP to develop single line diagrams, conduct load flow and short‑circuit studies, and support senior engineers throughout the design process.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and prepare electrical drawings using AutoCAD, including Single Line Diagrams (SLD).
• Carry out electrical system modelling and analysis using ETAP software.
• Assist with power system studies such as load flow, short‑circuit analysis, and protection coordination.
• Provide support to engineers in design preparation, technical documentation, and submission works.
• Ensure all drawings, calculations, and studies comply with project requirements, specifications, and applicable standards.
• Coordinate with internal project teams, consultants, and contractors on electrical design matters.
• Maintain, update, and manage drawing records, revisions, and related documentation.

Required profile

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Basic understanding of electrical systems, safety, and engineering practices.
• Skilled in AutoCAD for electrical drafting and Single Line Diagrams.
• Knowledge of ETAP for electrical system modelling and study work.
• Able to read and interpret electrical schematics, layouts, and technical drawings.
• Good understanding of electrical power distribution systems.
• Meticulous, well‑organised, and capable of handling tasks within project timelines.
