Executive Quantity Surveyor

About the role

The Executive Quantity Surveyor at AECOM will understand client requirements, conduct feasibility studies, and manage cost estimation and contract administration for construction projects.

Key responsibilities

• Understand client requirements and conduct feasibility studies.
• Liaise with clients, architects, consultants and attend site meetings.
• Review drawings and specifications and prepare project cost estimates.
• Prepare contracts, tender documents and subcontract agreements.
• Measure quantities for architectural, infrastructure and structural works.
• Handle pre‑ and post‑contract administration and consultancy work.
• Assess variation orders, valuations, budgets and payment claims.
• Prepare contract documents and monitor contractual compliance.
• Coordinate subcontractor works and conduct maintenance cost analysis.
• Track project progress, prepare reports and advise on contractual claims.
• Ensure compliance with statutory building regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Building/Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years experience in pre‑ and post‑contract roles within consultancy or main‑contractor environments.
• Experience on builder and/or infrastructure projects is an advantage.
• Demonstrated passion, results orientation and commitment to client and company.
• Ability to solve problems and apply experience to typical projects.
• Mentoring and guidance experience for junior staff.
• Self‑checking of work products before submission.
• Collaborative approach with guidance on unfamiliar tasks.
