Finance Business Partner Specialist (12‑month FTC)

About the role

The Finance Business Partner Specialist provides commercial insight, analytical support and storytelling to help the business maximise value. Reporting to senior finance leadership, the role acts as a trusted advisor for commodity results, projects and marketing initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Business advisory – engage with front‑office teams, source data, use BI tools and deliver insights to shape strategic decisions.
• Financial planning – design and maintain forecasting models, support budgeting, outlook and cash‑flow decisions.
• Performance management – produce regular and ad‑hoc performance reports, analyse trends and drive improvements across the value chain.
• Project management and support – lead cross‑disciplinary initiatives, including new financing structures, M&A execution and implementation of finance‑wide projects.
• Learning and development – champion continuous improvement, adopt new technologies and promote data‑driven decision making.

Required profile

• Strong academic credentials in finance with CA, CFA or CPA qualification.
• Commercial acumen and experience in the commodities sector, preferably with marketing, trading or logistics exposure.
• Proven expertise in financial planning & analysis, investment appraisal and governance/compliance.
• Project‑management capability to deliver large, complex initiatives.
• Deep understanding of finance processes, IFRS, local statutory accounting and tax regulations.
• Technology awareness, especially SAP and Hyperion, and ability to leverage BI tools.
