Finance Manager & Controller – Web3 Payments & Fintech

About the role

We are a stealth‑mode fintech based in Hong Kong, building a platform at the intersection of institutional finance and digital assets. This fully remote Finance Manager / Controller will shape the financial foundation for OTC, stablecoins, cross‑border payments and upcoming US licensing initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with portfolio management and trading teams to report financial performance and prepare leadership reviews.
• Develop deep‑dive analyses and financial models to support trading‑strategy decisions.
• Drive revenue initiatives, manage P&L at strategy and desk level, and identify profitability drivers.
• Design and implement process improvements, dashboards, and ad‑hoc reports.
• Collaborate with technology teams to define and build backend financial systems for high‑frequency trading environments.
• Establish and maintain policies, internal controls, and governance frameworks.
• Oversee day‑to‑day accounting operations, including AP, AR, and general ledger entries.
• Perform regular reconciliations of accounts, especially for trading positions and digital‑asset holdings.
• Support tax filings and ensure compliance with cryptocurrency transaction regulations.
• Work closely with legal, compliance, and operations to align risk controls with business goals.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in finance or accounting, preferably within trading firms, fintech, or crypto/TradFi environments.
• Hands‑on experience building or contributing to backend finance systems or automation in fast‑paced, tech‑driven settings.
• Demonstrated expertise in cryptocurrency accounting and reporting.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and standards.
