Food & Beverage Service Executive

About the role

Raffles Hotel Singapore, a historic 19th-century hotel, is hiring a Food & Beverage Service Executive for its restaurant 藝yì by Jereme Leung, a contemporary Chinese dining concept. The executive supervises the team and helps the outlet manager maintain service standards so that guests enjoy a memorable dining experience.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise the team and assist the outlet manager in maintaining service and product delivery standards.
• Take guest orders, recommend dishes and drinks, and enter orders accurately into the point-of-sale system, double-checking before sending tickets to the kitchen.
• Provide pre-, during- and post-meal service, remembering guest preferences and personalising interactions.
• Set up and maintain stations, keep tables and side stations tidy, polish silver and glassware, and mark tables for each course.
• Upsell products, handle minor complaints and report serious issues to the manager.
• Carry out opening and closing duties, dishwashing, pantry and service preparation tasks, and ad hoc duties such as collecting requisitions.
• Mentor F&B associates, give on-the-job training, guide new hires and ensure colleagues follow fire safety, hygiene and NEA rules.

Required profile

• Certificate or diploma in hospitality or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in an international-class restaurant; 1 year in a similar capacity is an advantage.
• Additional food and beverage training is an advantage.
• English communication skills, spoken and written.
• Reliable, team player, motivated and guest-oriented.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Interpersonal and communication skills.
