Food & Beverage Service Executive (Tiffin Room)

About the role

Raffles Hotel Singapore's Tiffin Room, which has been part of the hotel since 1892, celebrates North Indian cuisine from Rajasthan to Punjab to Lucknow. The Food & Beverage Service Executive supervises the team and helps the outlet manager maintain service standards so that guests enjoy a memorable dining experience.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise the team and assist the outlet manager in maintaining service and product delivery standards.
• Take guest orders accurately, double-check the order list before sending tickets to the kitchen, and enter orders correctly into the point-of-sale system.
• Offer menu options and advice, serve drinks before, during and after meals, and remember guest preferences for personalised service.
• Set up and maintain stations, keep tables, chairs and silverware clean, and arrange tables according to standards.
• Check guest satisfaction at each course, pick up checks, and report guest complaints to the manager.
• Follow opening and closing duties, and carry out ad hoc tasks such as cleaning equipment and collecting requisitions.
• Train colleagues on the job, guide new hires, and ensure training on fire safety, emergency procedures and hygiene.
• Act as a mentor, observe colleagues' performance and punctuality, and promote sales and guest feedback.

Required profile

• Certificate or diploma in hospitality or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in an international-class restaurant; 1 year in a similar capacity is an advantage.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• English communication skills, spoken and written.
• Team player, reliable, motivated and guest-oriented.
