Infrastructure Engineer – ATM Solution

About the role

Sopra Steria's Singapore office, which is the regional headquarters for its Infrastructure, Cloud and Cybersecurity services, is hiring an Infrastructure Engineer. You will work in an international multidisciplinary team that leads and delivers the infrastructure for a complex ATM solution, covering network and compute equipment and the Standard Operating Environment (SOE).

Key responsibilities

• Support projects by revising solution architecture drawings, cost templates, the List of Supplies (LoS) / Bill of Materials (BoM) and interfaces, and updating network integration documentation.
• Review definition documents and design documentation, participate in product integration and verification, and provide system and networking expertise.
• Configure equipment for the ATM solution, coordinate with hardware deployment and integration, and hand over equipment to software integration at factory and customer sites.
• Support configuration changes, attend design reviews with customers, and provide customer training.
• Identify risks in the solution architecture and propose validated alternatives.
• Create and peer review architecture diagrams and LoS/BoM for bids, and share technical knowledge through documentation and case studies.
• Promote Lean and Agile practices, automation and standardisation, and emerging technologies such as hybrid cloud, hyperconverged infrastructure and AI-driven monitoring.
• Contribute to cost models, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and the development of engineering processes.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering, ICT or a related discipline; postgraduate study in Systems Engineering desirable.
• 7+ years of proven experience designing, delivering and operating complex, mission-critical server/storage infrastructure and networks.
• Strong foundation in switching and routing, and experience in product/project development under traditional and agile methods.
• Experience validating and integrating hardware on large, complex software-based systems, and exposure to safety, security and human factors in data centres.
• Ability to deliver results in multidisciplinary, multicultural environments and to influence senior stakeholders.

Required skills

• Server operating systems (Linux/RHEL, Windows Server), server hardening, virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V, Proxmox, KVM) and containers (OpenShift, Kubernetes)
• Infrastructure automation: Infrastructure as Code (Ansible, Terraform), CI/CD and automation scripting
• Hardware integration and testing, SAN/NAS storage and data centre deployment
• Cost modelling and TCO analysis for server/storage solutions
