Injection Mold Design Engineer

About the role

A client based in Singapore is looking for an Injection Mold Design Engineer to design plastic injection molds to customer requirements, prepare manufacturability documentation and work closely with CAM and manufacturing teams to deliver engineered plastic parts and assemblies. The position is full time, permanent and on-site.

Key responsibilities

• Design plastic injection molds in line with customer requirements and specifications
• Prepare DFM (Design for Manufacturability) documentation according to customer specifications
• Develop 3D and 2D solid mold designs using UG NX12 software (or higher)
• Design engineered plastic parts, insert-molded parts and assemblies
• Collaborate closely with the CAM and Manufacturing departments to ensure customer requirements are met

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline
• Proactive attitude with strong innovative and analytical thinking

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of CAD and Unigraphics NX12
• Hands-on experience with mold design and Moldflow MPI / Moldex 3D
