Kitchen Production Team Leader (1 Year Contract)

About the role

IKEA Alexandra in Singapore is hiring a Kitchen Production Team Leader on a 1-year contract, reporting to the Kitchen Production Manager. The role covers the day-to-day operations of the kitchen production area, with a focus on efficiency, food safety and staff supervision.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in forecasting and purchasing of food and goods supply.
• Monitor man-hours rosters closely and supervise co-workers in the kitchen to ensure efficient operations.
• Look after waste management, portioning and kitchen production as part of continuous improvement.
• Ensure kitchen facilities comply with safety and sanitary regulations and HACCP standards, and that food safety procedures are followed.
• Assist in menu implementation and launches.

Required profile

• At least 3 years of experience in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen operation.
• Proven leadership ability and commercial acumen in cost and resource management.
• Experience supervising and working with a diverse team, and experience supporting and implementing action plans.
• Good culinary skills, service orientation and ability to multi-task.

Required skills

• Decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
