Manager, Office of Clinical Affairs (Medico-Legal Case Management)

About the role

The Manager of the Medico‑Legal Case Management (MLCM) team provides operational, clinical‑administrative, and case‑management support to ensure the department runs efficiently. This senior role oversees the end‑to‑end handling of actual and potential medico‑legal complaints and litigation, working closely with clinicians, legal counsel, and internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage medico‑legal cases from intake through resolution.
• Review and ensure quality of medico‑legal documentation.
• Engage with clinicians, lawyers, and other stakeholders to provide advisory support.
• Maintain and report on medico‑legal data, databases, and performance metrics.
• Lead the MLCM team, mentor junior members, and drive capability development.
• Ensure compliance with governance standards and pursue continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Degree from a recognised institution; clinical degrees (Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, Allied Health) preferred but not mandatory.
• Prior experience in the healthcare sector is advantageous.
• Background in medico‑legal matters, risk management, or healthcare compliance is beneficial.
• Demonstrated leadership potential and ability to drive new initiatives.
• Strong analytical mindset with meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills across all organisational levels.
• Results‑oriented, self‑motivated, and capable of working independently while contributing to team goals.
