Mixologist (Long Bar)

About the role

Raffles Hotel Singapore's historic Long Bar, where the Singapore Sling was created in 1915, is looking for a Mixologist. The Mixologist is the backbone of the bar, supporting the Head Bartender in supervising operations and service standards so that guests' bar experience expectations are met and exceeded.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Head Bartender in maintaining quality and consistency of beverages and hospitality, and in delivering world-class drink making.
• Keep operating par stock for OS&E and beverages, follow bar SOPs and recipes, and ensure weekly equipment checks with Engineering and Housekeeping.
• Maintain HACCP standards and cleanliness of the bar and related areas.
• Support the F&B training platform and the bar's PR, media and industry outreach programmes.
• Be present during all key operation periods, promote sales through direct guest contact, handle complaints promptly and build a loyal guest database.
• Lead the bar team, enforce discipline, assist in recruitment and induction, and arrange on-the-job training and monthly training records.
• Monitor costs, labour and expenses, submit accurate reports, attend daily and monthly meetings, and coordinate with the Culinary, Catering Sales and Service teams.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of experience in craft cocktail programmes.
• At least 2 years of supervisory experience at a similar level.
• In-depth knowledge of classic and international cocktails, spirits and hospitality.
• Team player with good presentation and influencing skills, able to work across divisions.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic POS management.
• Familiarity with hotel systems such as Micros, SevenRooms and FutureLog.
