Nurse Clinician II – Infection Control

About the role

The Nurse Clinician II will lead the infection control programme across polyclinics and dental clinics. This senior nursing position combines clinical expertise with strategic oversight to protect patients and staff from infectious threats.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain a system‑wide infection control programme.
• Educate healthcare staff on infection control protocols and policies.
• Create patient‑focused education strategies on current infectious disease issues.
• Serve as a resource and advisor on best infection control practices.
• Monitor infection patterns, prevalence and trends; conduct surveillance and analyse data.
• Initiate appropriate control measures based on surveillance findings.
• Support teamwork to ensure compliance with accrediting and regulatory standards specific to primary‑care settings.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse with a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
• 9‑11 years of clinical nursing experience, including at least 2 years in an infection‑control setting.
• Familiarity with epidemiological principles and procedures related to infection prevention.
• Proactive, motivated, result‑oriented with strong leadership qualities.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and time‑management skills.
