Paralegal – Asset Finance (Shipping) Team

About the role

Norton Rose Fulbright is seeking a Paralegal to join its Asset Finance (Shipping) practice in Singapore. The successful candidate will support a broad range of ship finance and offshore transactions, working closely with fee earners across the Banking Team.

Key responsibilities

• Draft and prepare finance documents, corporate authorisations, legal opinions and ancillary financing documents.
• Register and deregister charges with relevant registries and liaise with clients, foreign counsel, flag‑state registries and other stakeholders.
• Proof‑read, format and cross‑check documents for accuracy and consistency.
• Prepare conditions precedent reports, closing checklists and compile transaction bibles.

Required profile

• Prior experience as a paralegal or legal executive in asset finance, shipping or banking and finance within a law firm.
• Excellent written and spoken English; Mandarin proficiency preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing deadlines.
• Proactive, solutions‑oriented approach with willingness to work flexibly.
