Product Development & Business Analysis Intern

About the role

Avanade, the Microsoft solutions provider, is looking for a Product Development & Business Analysis Intern. The role offers hands-on experience across product strategy, business analysis, agile delivery and AI-enabled solution development, and suits students interested in product management, consulting, digital transformation and technology innovation.

Key responsibilities

• Support product discovery: stakeholder interviews, workshops, market research and process analysis, and help define problem statements, success metrics and product hypotheses.
• Elicit, document and refine business requirements, user stories, personas and customer journeys, and assist backlog grooming and prioritization.
• Collaborate with developers, architects, designers and SMEs, help prepare functional specifications, process flows, wireframes and acceptance criteria, and take part in sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives and showcases.
• Support UAT, defect tracking, release validation, feature documentation and release notes.
• Assist with proof-of-concepts using software, AI and cloud technologies, analyze user feedback and operational metrics, and help evaluate emerging technology trends.
• Maintain project trackers, requirement repositories and dashboards, propose automation opportunities, support templates, playbooks and SOPs, and contribute to project reporting and stakeholder communication.
• Support innovation programs, hackathons and knowledge sharing, and prepare presentations and demo materials.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Digital/Tech Product Management, AI and Data Analytics, Digital Innovation or a related discipline.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, clear requirement gathering and documentation, and strong presentation and communication skills.
• Comfortable working with data and spreadsheets, organized, proactive and able to work in fast-paced, agile environments.

Required skills

• Nice to have: Agile/Scrum projects, UX research and journey mapping.
• Nice to have: familiarity with Miro, Figma, Jira, Azure DevOps or similar tools.
• Nice to have: data visualization and analytics.

By the end of the internship, candidates should have contributed to at least one product or digital solution initiative and produced business analysis artifacts such as requirements, user stories, process maps or wireframes.
